IPL
is intense pulsed light and is based on a process called selective photothermolysis. The GSD Epireer (laser unit) emits pulsed light energy that targets specific chromophores (melanin & oxyhemoglobin) and utilises light energy & heat energy to achieve maximum results to provide a safe and effective treatment.
The treatment
is safe for most skin types. A consultation must be carried out to determine if the client’s skin is suitable for the Epireer treatment. There are no long term health hazards. Clients may experience slight erythema and oedema in the treated area. This is a normal reaction which should disappear within a day.
LONG TERM HAIR REMOVAL
The Epireer treats the active stage of hair growth. Light enters the skin and targets the melanin (pigment) within the hair follicle and the light is converted to heat. This process coagulates the hair bulb and the destruction of the hair follicle occurs.
Treatment Protocol
6-8 treatments will be required – a treatment to be done every 6-8 weeks
Facial Hair: 10-12 treatments will be required – a treatment to be done every 4-6 weeks
For maximum results it is advisable for the client to follow the treatment procedure.
SKIN REJUVENATION
The Epireer safely applies intense pulsed light to an area of loose skin, wrinkles, pigmentation, age spots and sun spots to help break down the unwanted pigmentation & clotted blood and to promote collagen production for a healthier, more supple and radiant looking skin.
Treatment Protocol
3-5 treatments will be necessary – a treatment to be done every 3-4 weeks. For maximum results it is advisable for the client to follow the treatment procedure
